Milk Choc Hazelnut & Choc Chip Babka
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 7g yeast
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 80g butter, room temp
- 1 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- SNACKN milk choc protein spread
- Vitawerx Milk Chocolate - Chopped Into Chips
Method:
1. microwave milk for 30 seconds or until warm
2. sprinkle yeast over milk and whisk
3. add sugar in and whisk
4. stir in butter
5. gradually add in flour, salt and baking soda and combine with a wooden spoon (add enough flour so that the dough does not stick to the bowl)
6. cover the dough with a warm tea towel (microwave towel for 30 secs) and leave for 1 hour
7. roll out dough on a floured surface into a thin rectangle
8. spread SNACKN choc hazelnut spread over dough and sprinkle with Vitawerx choc chips
9. starting from the long side, roll the dough up into a cylinder.
10. cut the dough in half lengthways into 2 long strips
11. carefully twirl/twist the two strips together
12. lift the dough into a tin and let rise for 10-15 mins
13. bake at 170*C fan forced for 15-20 mins or until the outside of the babka is golden and a skewer comes out clean slice and enjoy your delicious milk choc hazelnut & choc chip babka 💫
